School Holiday Groups

Kids Therapy Network will be running fabulous therapy groups during the school holidays. There are only four participants in our groups to ensure all students get their individual needs met. Every group is run by an experienced Occupational Therapist, it may be possible to claim the fee through your families health insurance - extras cover.

It is essential that you book early as our groups always fill up quickly.

Fantastic Fine Motor Fun 
We have all sorts of fun fine motor surprises ready to boost your child's skills.  Loads of variety and fun to motivate your child and develop their fine motor skills. Your child will have the opportunity to further develop hand strength and hand skills, attention, listening, looking and thinking, motor planning and problem solving, pencil control, colouring, drawing, tracing and social team work skills.  This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Great Games
Children will practice their social, gross / fine motor, motor planning and games skills. Activities will include balance and body games, fine fiddly fast games and small group board games. This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Ages and stages will be matched as best we can.

Divine Drawing and Designs
Children will have the opportunity to use step by step drawing formats, extend ther animal, vehicle and people drawings by adding accesories and scenery. Lots of creative fun, socialisation and team work. This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Ages and stages will be matched as best we can. 

Shopping and Money Skills.
We love running this group, as do our now well trained neighbourhood shop owners! Children are asked to bring a purse with coins to the value of $2.00. The session starts with the four children identifying coins, reading price tags and practicing their shopping, communication and money skills in our Kids Therapy Network shop. The group then ventures out into our Glenhuntly Rd neighbourhood to purchase simple items from the newsagent and milkbar. Please advise dietary needs when booking. Relaxation
Be cool and chill  out. This introductory group will guid children to explore the sesnation of relaxation. Children will learn about being and feeling stillness, use fo visual imagery, use of progressive muscle relaxation and breathing techniques and meditation. This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Ages and stages will be matched as best we can.

Computer Skills - WORD, Typing
Only for year two students and older. Learn tricks and shortcuts for WORD. Practice software skills and try tips for presenting work. This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Ages and stages will be matched as best we can.

Handsome Handwriting
Seriously fun pencil control and handwriting activities. Your child will revise letter formations, use of dotted third writing lines and work on handwriting speed and fluency in a fun groovy group way. This fabulous session runs at Kids Therapy Network caulfield rooms. Ages and stages will be matched as best we can.

Ready for Prep (2011)
We are offering three Ready for Prep groups again next year. There are only four children in each group and we match for age and stage as best we can. Each session is run by an experienced Occupational Therapist. The programme is creative yet comprehensive and covers pre writing skills, listening and following instructions, numbers, mat time, social skills and organisation. Each programme runs for five consecutive mornings and will be run at our Caulfield rooms.  Ages and stages will be matched as best we can.
